Rising Stars: Jamie Hall and Pete

How does a guy get a hot date with 21st century technology?

Filmmaker, actor, and comedian Jamie Hall partnered with Pete the Wonder Dog to come up with the perfect plan. The result is an enjoyable, fun video about the power of Twitter.

Spreety recently took Pete the Wonder Dog and Jamie out to lunch, at a park, to learn more about these rising stars.

Due to a birth defect, Pete was a pure bred reject. Unfit for competition, Pete’s future changed when Jamie came along. Through luck or a twist of fate, Jamie took heart in the underdog, and the two have made films ever since.

As for Jamie, his uncle was the original Predator, Kevin Peter Hall, and his father played professional basketball. In 2007, Jamie was honored with an Emmy Nomination in the category of Outstanding Cinematography For Reality Programming for his work on the A&E reality-documentary series “Intervention.”

Jamie is also an experienced On-Camera Host, having hosted the Los Angeles Film Festival highlight series “FesTV.” Jamie’s zany comedic antics have been featured on BET’s “Hell Date”, Comedy Central’s “The Chocolate News” as well as ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jamie also hosts the LIVE Improvised Music and Comedy Show known as BLOUZEFEST…in 3D!

Looking forward, Jamie predicts in the year 2020 that entertainment technology will advance to the point of dynamic substitution for in place ads. Translated, if a character is drinking a soda, the brand on the can could change to the highest bidder that day.

Pete the Wonder Dog was a pure bred competition reject whose future changed when Jamie came alone.
Among their many fun and comedic collaborations, of particular note is Follow Me on Twitta.
As for Hollywood connections, Jamie is the nephew of the original “Predator” actor, Kevin Peter Hall.

Answering these questions can be fun, but appreciating the context of the answer makes it more meaningful. That is why Spreety TV Online started a TV Trivia revolution by adding links to watch the pertinent episodes online. In the context of seeing the answer, a simple click will launch the full episode, when available online for viewing.

The trivia questions focus on plot based material, leading to a deeper appreciation of the character’s motives. For example, Wonder Woman was effectively an Immortal, but ran the risk of reverting to a mortal when she spent time away from Paradise Island.

Some of the questions are more technical, such as how Sam could see Al in Quantum Leap (a subatomic agitation of carbon quarks were tuned to the mesons of Sam’s optic and otic neurons). The depth of the fake science in certain shows can help us believe just a little more.

The TV trivia challenges at Spreety so far are Friends, Seinfeld, Babylon 5, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Stargate SG-1, Bewitched, Wonder Woman, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Jetsons, I Dream of Jeannie, Star Trek, Quantum Leap, Arrested Development, Everybody Loves Raymond, The A Team, Monk, Lost, 24, and Mad About You. A new one is added every other week.

For those concerned about spoilers, clearly testing one’s trivia knowledge is intended for after the viewing.
