2011 Fall Online TV Premiere Stats
Here are the 2011 Fall free TV online stats for the 5 major networks:
- 95% of the fall 2011 TV premieres are online for free, a new record (71 of 75).
- 82% was the prior record in fall 2010.
- The four holdouts include The X Factor, The Mentalist, and two shows that were previously online.
- Closed captioning online is supported by ABC, FOX, NBC, and now CW.
- The only notable step backwards is FOX waiting 8 days, instead of 1 day for free episodes online.
Overall, the content trend is promising for the future of free TV online.

- CPU utilization with IE9 is 50% more efficient.
- Video playback is smoother with IE9.
- Tip: Enable the “Status” bar for quick access to magnification.
IE9 is available for computers running Windows Vista and above (sorry XP).
