Included in the rename is a new and improved web site with movies and full episodes. Check it out.

Star Trek Originals Remastered

The new Star Trek movie is coming out on May 8.

As a promotion, CBS has online the original 1966 Star Trek TV series with:

  • New Special Effects
  • Surround Sound
  • High Definition Video

Considering most people were introduced to Star Trek on black and white TVs using over the air transmissions and mono sound, the CBS remastering makes a good case for a new look, even for those who know every script by heart, have dressed up as a Klingon, and really wish they were Spock.

For newcomers to the Star Trek franchise, the updated originals provide good stories, and some clarification to characters, such as Captain Pike, in the upcoming movie.
