History TV Online

Spreety TV Online is pleased to announce the latest in the video series of how to watch TV online. The new video focuses on history TV shows online.

Among the award winning historical shows online, PBS’ American Experience offers full episodes for free. To assist with any historical taste, the prior episodes can be filtered by historical periods, biographies, technology, politics, popular culture, and war.

A unique historical perspective comes from Spike’s Deadliest Warrior, which compares military technology from different historical periods. In addition to free full episodes are online, there is additional director commentary answering the critical questions and feedback from viewers.

As an example of pop culture history, VH-1’s “The Greatest” is an enjoyable assortment of reminiscing that spans one hit wonders of the eighties, greatest pranks, to dumbest celebrity quotes ever.

The History channel itself has a variety of full episodes online, including American Pickers, Ancient Discoveries, Battles B.C., Cities of the Underworld, Dogfights, Gangland, How the Earth was Made, Madhouse, Modern Marvels, Mystery Quest, The People Speak, Shockwave, and The Universe.

NBC has a genealogy show called “Who Do You Think You Are?”, that takes celebrities through a heart-warming tour of their own personal family history.

Additionally, there are history shows about war, science, the space program, geography, engineering, civilizations, politics, crime, nature, and more. There is much more listed on the Spreety History Genre page to quench the thirst of any history buff.

“There is an amazing amount of free TV online. The challenge in enjoying is simply knowing where to look”, according to Spreety co-founder Ron Laughton. “We created Spreety to help people discover the best, legal places to watch TV online.”

Comedy Central TV Shows Online

Spreety TV Online is pleased to announce the latest in the video series of how to watch TV online. The new video focuses on how to watch Comedy Central TV shows online.

Comedy Central has free full episodes online for the following shows: The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, Drawn Together, The Jeff Durham Show, Mind of Mencia, Premium Blend, Strangers with Candy and all 14 seasons of South Park. Additional previews, clips, and highlights are available for other shows, such as Futurama, Important Things with Demetri Martin, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, Reno 911, The Sarah Silverman Program, Sit Down, Shut Up, Tosh.0, and Ugly Americans.

Of particular note, The Daily Show has extended interviews with top name guests exclusively available online. The extended interviews go back fifteen years and are fully searchable, such as “Al Gore” or “Kermit the Frog”. Given all the political guests for The Daily Show, it can be quite fascinating to see the big names interviewed multiple times over the past fifteen years.

In addition to shows, Comedy Central also links to Atom films, which hosts numerous funny short films. Among the many popular sections, one of particular note is the annual Star Wars fan film challenge, judged by George Lucas himself.

“If people just knew how much TV is online, there would be mass abandonment of the old TV”, according to Spreety co-founder Ron Laughton. “We created Spreety to educate people about the legal places to watch free TV online.”
