Spreety Upgrades (6/18)

Growth is a nice problem to solve, and Spreety TV Online is growing quickly.

To keep pace with demand, starting midnight (ET) on Thursday, June 18, Spreety will commence a complex series of upgrades. The result will be improved speed and capacity.

While the intent is zero downtime, the complexity may lead to something unexpected.

With the upgrade, there will be a few changes:

  1. Decades will be renamed to Classic TV.
  2. The “Surprise Me” feature will be retired. This will allow a 25% improvement in speed.
  3. The Bubbles Game will still exist, but will be more difficult to find (use this link). Our decision to deprecate is due to the excessive ads recently appearing with that game.

For the tech lovers, parallel environments will run while the Spreety domain name changes IP address. The entire process may take a few days to update across the Internet.

Wish us luck.
